Most visitors to the region live in Southern California, but out-of-state travelers can fly into San Diego International Airport (a 157- two and a half hour drive), John Wayne Airport (118 mile - 2 hour drive), Los Angeles International Airport (a 142-mile, three-hour drive) or Palm Springs International Airport (a 40-mile, 45-minute drive) and then rent a car to explore the region.
